I am now making these men's leather wallets out of Buffalo Calf, an expensive imported leather. I have it in Brown, Dark Brown, and Black. This calf skin leather has an expensive look because it is. It is an interesting leather, not just a "Flat" grain with a "Vinyl" look. This leather is tanned like Italian top grain leather. My customers really love the look and smell of this leather! These are easily $60.00 leather wallets with folded edges, that look as good, and will last a lot longer than even the most expensive imported leather wallets because they are 100% leather. There are no thin linings cemented to a thin leather facing with hot glue. Read the description, look at each style... pick the one best for you, and remember, this leather is a real upgrade! NEW! Tan shrunken grain, natural, unfinshed leather, is now offered on the exterior of all these wallet styles with Brown Buffalo Calf leather on the interior. There are no thin weak lining materials in these men's leather wallets, they are all 100% calf skin leather and sewn with #69 nylon thread (what others use for handbags). The one exception to "All Leather", is the Hipster Wallet which has Heavy Bonded Lining behind the card pockets. These are much more substantial than other leather wallets on the market. This full grain leather is thicker than the paper thin leathers necessary on imported wallets with their layers of lining and man made material. You will notice the substantial feel when you hold it in your hand. The calf leather is softer and more flexable than the leather in the working mans hand stitched leather wallet but is still solid enough that it is inhanced with use. This is a wallet that I made in the 70's and today is made for the American Hero, the working man. Tired of those soft department store wallets that lose their shape in your hip pocket? This wallet is for you. This wallet is made from hand stained and polished oak tanned calf leather and hand sewn with waxed nylon thread. This is a substantial wallet that improves with use and actually needs to be "broken in". This Oak leather is the same tannage as used on saddles and harness. A divider in the bill compartment can be tucked under the back flap to make a secret compartment for that winning lottery ticket or phone number. Wallet measures 8-3/4" x 3-1/2" open. There are 4 card pockets and 2 pockets to either side of center for drivers license, lumber yard and hardware store charge cards, and business cards. Card pockets will hold more than one card. I mostly sell them to men who buy them for their own use, even though they get enough wallets as gifts. What they pull out of their pocket to replace usually looks like something wrapped in a rag and paper thin leather scraps even though it is less than a year old. Maybe this is the one they should have gotten as a gift. Having said that, I want one of the new Buffalo Calf wallets shown above. This clutch has a place for everything, with pockets for credit cards, checkbook, register and bills. On the top there is a zipper pocket, on the back a coin pocket with flap, and inside there are bill pockets and card pockets. This wallet can also be used as your Check Book Cover and has room for the register in the pocket above. The coin pocket on the back has the same closure as on the front flap. There is another open pocket behind that flap and a similar pocket inside between the main flap and the zipper pocket. This wallet is all leather, with pigskin lining inside the zipper pocket. Wallet shown on left is made with Brown Shrunken Grain leather. I have both the Eagle and Walking Liberty half dollar for the belt loop. Both are great, specify which you want if it's meaningful.#10A is the same Ponderosa wallet with the traditional chain instead of braided lanyard for $15.00 less. There is a lot of room for stuff in this one with an easy access bill compartment, card pocket, open pockets and zipper pocket. Keys can be carried on the key ring and unclipped from the belt loop for use on the lanyard. Versatile and comfortable without the normal extra thickness of flap and snap in the pocket. Ladies Wallets: There is almost too much to tell about the wallets shown above. They are similar in layout but made in different sizes. They are now availble in Black and Brandy (light-med. brown). Under the strap with 2 position snap closure there is a card section and bill compartments with another fold out card section on the end with an ID window and another pocket. On the other side under a full width flap with snap closure there is a coin purse with a center zippered divider. The medium size 1629 is discontinued and is no longer available. 
1640 Ladies Wallet: This wallet is the smaller version measuring 4 1/2" x 3 3/4" when closed. Shown in soft Black Leather also available in Brandy. $60.00

The "English" Bridle leather used for these wallets is tanned in the U.S.A. I'm using it to make some of the same styles as the calfskin wallets. This tan Bridle Leather makes a more firm wallet than the Calfskin Leather. The color is a light tan, lighter than the way it came out in the pictures. I expect these wallets to break in with a more leathery look and to darken with use. Since this is a new offering for 2008... you will have to let me know about that in a few years. When I handle it, it makes that noise you hear when stepping into the saddle, that leather against leather noise. All three wallets measure 3-5/8" X 8-3/4" when open.  Style #1
