I still love the various compartments and especially going for the light pigskin lining with the black dove exterior. It is still an amazing thing to be able to get inside and FIND what I am looking for. The waist and shoulder strap are still in great shape despite loading it down. I left it at church once and the deacon asked me why I needed to bring a suitcase for a couple of hours away from home. It does not look shabby in the least and I am not tired of it. Furthermore, I have noticed that some of the backpack makers are putting light linings in their packs so people can find their laptop chords and accessories. We were just a bit ahead of the game. I guess that between us we have created a unique collector's item if you can't get those leather colors anymore. I have attended a couple of craft shows and leather people immediately want to know where I got my bag. Then they want to inspect it. Then they comment about the exquisite workmanship and the pigskin lining. When I guess what year it was made, they say they don't think they could have made the bag for that price even back then. Can't thank you enough!! Hi Henry, I've been meaning to write and thank you for the excellent belt you made for me. I got it about the first of September. I showed it to my wife (who grew up as a farm girl), and she sniffed it and pronounced it as "Really good leather!" I also want to thank you for chamfering the cut end of the belt so it would fit into my lever-type buckle more easily. This was an "extra" I didn't expect. I've been wearing the belt for over a month now, and the hole I usually use has not elongated at all. In fact, it is almost impossible by just looking at the belt to tell which hole I usually use. A run-of-the-mill belt would by now have suffered a noticeable elongation of the used hole. And the end of the belt still is perfectly aligned with the buckle. An ordinary belt would by now be somewhat crooked where it comes out of the buckle. I've found that extracting the belt end and re-clamping it does not help with a cheaper belt. I can not tell you how pleased I am with them. The material and workmanship is excellent and they are ideal for the application. The belt loop is also one of the best I have ever seen - you might want to list it on your site. I normally only use reading glasses and I need to carry them with me. Up til now the only cases I have found are too big and bulky to carry in a pocket and the ones that will attach to a belt have a wimpy clip that keeps sliding off of the belt or a leather (plastic) strap that only lasts a week or two. The last one I got from my optometrist lasted about 5 days. She could find nothing better. I checked the internet under glass cases and there was nothing - it was only when I searched for leather goods that I found your web site (you might want to include glass cases or eyeglass cases in your search keys). I'd like to have the holes in this new belt at a closer spacing than one inch to allow for more accurate adjusting based on daily gut size! If you can space the holes as close as .5" that would be good---if not, then whatever you think is best for "close" spacing on the holes. You can also increase the number of holes for this closer spacing if you think that will work better--7 or 9 holes (sets of holes on this double-tang buckle). On color--somewhere on the darker side of "medium" brown? Could be my monitor, but "dark brown" looks really dark (almost black.) I own a half dozen various ranger belts, and while they are nice, they all leave something to be desired. Let me compliment you on the perfect belt. I could not ask for anything more. Even the 4 piece buckle set rivals a 4 piece silver Vogt set that I own in looks. I tried it on with my sidearm and I am 100% satisfied with how sturdy the belt is under the weight of a pistol, magazine, handcuffs, cellphone, etc. Your website is extremely accurate in depicting your merchandise and the sizing instructions are near idiot proof. To everyone out there who is thinking of putting in an order for a custom-made bag with Henry. Go for it! You will love the results. I have just received my commissioned bag and it is fabulous - far better than the original. The deep chocolate leather works very well with the silver hardware, and lighter stitching and the result is a bag that has a slap-bang, up-to-the-minute contemporary feel. The pebble-finish seems to be this season's "must-have", and the bag would truly not look out of place in a top department store. I am extremely pleased with the bag's chunky feel, down to its solid bottom complete with four feet, and sturdy handles. I took the plunge (pun intended) and soaked the belt in water for 2 minutes. I just rubbed the surface lightly with my fingers and the salt stains (and residual water stains) have all disappeared. The belt did shrink slightly but I am sure that once it is around my ample girth it will stretch back out :-) As expected the belt is a bit stiffer but that should go away with use as well. I declined to use distilled water, but that is still an option if the stiffness is maintained. I tried some leather 'waterproofing' rub (that I had purchased years ago for boots - it is derived from Emu [the large bird] oil) on a small section of the non-visible side of the belt and it severely darkens it. I will just try the belt with its current darkness instead of worrying about a sealer of any type. I don't make a habit of getting the belt wet. Tom Henry, Thank you so much for everything. The bag came last night (wonderfully fast shipping, by the way), and wow, it's fantastic! Far better than I'd hoped for, and FAR better than the one I'd seen years ago and had been looking for ever since. Since I'm pretty sure it would break one of the Laws of Womankind to say it's the Perfect Purse (after all, who would want to jeopardize further shopping excursions by admitting that???), it is gorgeous, the perfect size and color, and amazingly soft leather.
